Dan Eldon was an English photojournalist whose young life was snatched away by mob violence in Mogadishu in 1993. He was just 2 months away of his 23rd birthday. Inspired by his journals and angered by the incomprehensible senselessness of violence, I made art of his already creative journal and used my redscaled shots of the pages to texture my photographs of pedestrians in a very ordinary afternoon at the Alabang footbridge. Fusing history and social relevance into an otherwise ordinary street photography. Life can be better without violence.
