I love Frida Kahlo's work. Her surrealist folk art paintings convey powerful feminist images. I am very much comfortable with the chaotic order of images that she altogether painted on her canvas. Many of my doubles and multiple exposures are also a chaotic order of images fused together as one. This album is one among a series of tributes to this great Mexican painter who decided to change her birthday to coincide with the Mexican revolution. Love her guts! Here I fused her art through her writings and sketches with pictures of young men and pedestrian crossing at Buendia Ave. and Alabang bus terminal. Note how each lomograph is replete with colors, textures and details - a horror vacui (fear of empty space). Though this may not be favored by those whose taste is for simplicity, I find chaotic order an orderly chaos. Gracias Frida!
