HELP -- WHY SO OVEREXPOSED???

This album is a collection of 5 rolls of film that were mostly horribly overexposed by my LC-A+. These were the ones that I could salvage via creative scanning techniques. I have a feeling that the shutter is sticking open longer than the shutter speed dictated by the meter, but I have no way to be sure. Does anyone know how to fix this without sending it in to LSI? I hate the idea of $70 to fix something simple . . .

Some over exposed fotos are great. As to the shutter problem, I have no idea. But I have another lens problem with my LC-a+.. The lens is quite loose, I mean if I slowly turn my camera upside down, I will notice the lens fall off a ittle bit saying about 1-2mm. I actually had my first LC-a+ lans fell off totally and luckily the LOMOshop here in GuangZhou replaced it for me. But this 2nd camera just has the same problem. I am seriously worrying about my LC-a, and always afraid seeing it like a kid's falling tooth. Does anybody have the same problem?

Maybe you forgot to set ISO speed? (that's a dumb suggestion, but LCA's don't read DX code like other cameras, and if you're new to it, you may just forget.) Anything else suggests a check and repair by someone qualified.
    Just in case try this:

I don't have a LCA, but I have a similar problem with a Kodak Retinette, only that the shutter remains open 3 Minutes instead of 1/125 sec and the photos get completely white! The reason: the lube of the mechanical shutter-timer resinified with the dust within the past 40 years. I'm still waiting for the right moment open and clean it by myself... but as long as your photos come out that nice...!?!!!! ;-)

Thanks, guys! I do love a few of the overexposed shots I've had. You know, happy accidents and all that. But I'm tired of only getting one or two good shots out of an entire roll of film! I think it's time to bite the bullet and send my LC-A back to LSI for repair . . .
