My reason for hitting the Matsuri Festival was cosplayer Anna Von Winter. She throws herself headfirst into these complex concepts which require exhausting sewing, painting, research and composition. In a lot of ways cosplay reminds me of street art. It's a fully realized form of artistic expression that doesn't get nearly enough recognition and celebration from mainstream art critics. Anna and I have a concept for a shoot coming up that will blow your socks off. Devil. Violin. Georgia. Bodypaint. Win.This photo was shot on film.
