In my “MOSCOW MYTHS“ project, I have found a way of photographing and reinterpreting the past as the present. While subsequently returning to visit Moscow between 2004 and 2009, I have been keen to explore the current obsession with everything Russian: decomposing remains of the Soviet Union, Kremlin stars, fur hats and Rodchenko posters. Shot on film using the double exposure technique with a variety of cameras, from the Canon Ae-1 to the Lomo Kompakt Automat the images are also cross processed to give vibrant and highly saturated colours.Taken by neja with a Nikon F55 loaded with Agfa CT Precisa film (available in our Online Shop) in Moscow, Russian Federation. These tags describe this photo: capital, doubles, project, city, life, buildings, architecture, icons, signs, russia, and moscow. This photo can also be found in the album Moscow Myths.
