Southeastern Camera and Supply
205 West Main Street, Carrboro, United States
Do you live in or around the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area of North Carolina? Do you love film and need a place to get it developed, restock, get advice, or purchase some Lomography products in person? Look no further than SEC&S.
I happened to stumble upon Southeastern Camera & Supply because I started college nearby and I knew I would need a lab I could trust for my color film. My roommate was told to go to get supplies for his Intro to Film Photography class, and he told me about it. Now, they’re like my family. The service is great, the people even know my name, and I always feel welcome when I walk in, not just “some punk kid wasting my time”.
They can do black and white and color negative film development on site, and they’re always fine with cross processing slide film, but they send it to another location in Raleigh (which I have used and trust) for normal, E-6 processing. The staff members are all photographers too, so someone can generally answer any question I have, and if not, they’ll figure it out for me while I’m there. They also have a huge selection of film, from 35mm to large format, of all types, and if they don’t have it, they’ll send you to someone who does or they’ll order some for you. They also have a corner dedicated to Lomography cameras and accessories, as well as a wide array of used film cameras from most respected brands and in all formats. Southeastern Camera & Supply is my home away from home.
*Note: The Wilmington and Raleigh locations of SEC&S are not labs and may or may not offer such an assortment of films.
