Rather fast self-service where the free CD is a large plus. Advantages: Can be found anywhere in the Netherlands. Online service where you can see the progress of each film. Costs/quality proportion (free CD). Does listen well to special wishes. Disadvantages: Not entirely adapted on Lomo “formats and errors”. Not possible to develop without prints.
The Kruidvat has an overall sound lab. All stores send the task pockets with your film to Germany. One large general lab where probably several stores get the film developed. Unfortunately they have trouble with special formats such as square-format of the Diana Mini and several photographs from a multi-lens such as the SuperSampler. Also the round photograph from the Fisheye is not always in the middle. To develop, if handed in before 16:30, you’ll have to wait for approximately 3 to 4 days.
You get a free CD with the scans. Almost always are on this 1 or 2 scans more than printed. This is because the first photograph with the burned beginning is not printed. The Kruidvat also develops E-6, unfortunately this takes thrice as long and it’s double the price. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to develop just the film without the prints, since this costs the most. Down on the task pocket, there is an area for special requests. Here you can, rather logical, write down any special wishes. Also the question to use fluid C-41 for a slide film which you want cross processed.
