CAMERAS BROOKWOOD is a full-line camera shop and processing lab which opened in 1977. We are located in Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham Alabama. In the past we emphasized professional films, darkroom paper, chemistry, and professional photofinishing. Today, our emphasis has shifted to digital printing services, inkjet papers and inks, and portrait equipment and supplies with a heavy emphasis on education and training.

We, of course, still offer our extensive selection of tripods, camera bags, filters, and endless gadgets and accessories that make digital and film photography so exciting and rewarding.

And, of course, the film and darkroom supply business remains significant.

We have eight digital workstations for customers to place orders directly to our photo lab. In addition, different sizes of poster prints can be ordered. One station provides “while you wait” instant prints. We can make high resolution scans of your shoebox prints and your slides and burn them to CDs.
