Buenos Aires Color is very well-known among professional photographers, therefore it's the perfect lab for lomographers! It's probably one of the best labs in the city if what you're looking for is excellence in quality and variety of services.
It’s located in Piedras 980, in the neighborhood of San Telmo, not too far away from the “microcentro”, the Government House (the pink house) and the “Obelisco”, so if you’re not a resident of Buenos Aires, you’re probably gonna be around the area for touristy reasons. Also, San Telmo is a very touristic place itself, since it still holds some typical old neighborhood structures and has a lot of bars, markets and tango places. The lab’s front door is quite small and it doesn’t have much of a visible sign, so be aware when looking for it, but trust me, it’s there.
The lab provides excellent service – it’s as professional as it gets. In Buenos Aires Color, you can develop almost anything and I’m sure if you go there with some crazy requirements for your prints or scans, it’s not gonna be a problem for them and they’ll deliver perfectly. Of course they develop 35mm, 120mm, b&w, E6, you name it. If you want your negatives or slides scanned after processed, there’s three different resolutions you can pick from for your scans, the highest one being truly high-res! Expect the best results from these guys, they really know what they’re doing.
The only downside to Buenos Aires Color is, of course, quality, as this costs more. It is not the best option for a very active lomographer with a limited wallet as myself, cause the price can rise to twice as much as a regular lab would charge you depending on what you want to do. However, it is great for special crazy experiments with specific requirements or very special projects you have and can’t risk to get messed up by lazy and inexpert hands.
You can visit the site to check out all the services they provide:
Give it a try and you’ll see what I’m talking about, this lab won’t let you down!
