One of the simplest decorative ornaments you can do for your self at home is a snow globe. You don’t have to settle on a Christmas theme too, as the season has already passed. What you can use instead are copies of your favorite Lomographs! Here’s how:

Materials:

  • Photo or transparency. Make sure it is a bit smaller than your bottle or jar’s width/diameter and height.
  • A glass jar or bottle
  • Glitter and/or sequins
  • Clear corn syrup
  • Water
  • Packaging tape

Instructions:

Print your photo. Waterproof it by covering it in tape, making sure to eliminate all air bubbles. If you’re using a transparency, move on to the next step!

Insert the photo inside the jar. Make sure to have the photo upside down!

Fill the jar halfway with water, then the rest with clear corn syrup. Add in the sequins or glitters that you want to use. Close the jar as tight as you can to avoid leaks.
