Tipster: Try a Different Format for Portraiture

Some people say good portraiture is all about using the square format or medium format. But there's another format you have to try!

Have you ever gotten curious with the taste of square format? Or maybe you wanna try the 6×6 medium format to take a portrait?
We can’t deny that this format is really unique, yet quite awkward to compose. The key is using your mind to imagine the result before you press the shutter. You can choose any film that you want, negative, slide, B&W, redscale or infrared. But if you want a catchy portrait, try color flash!

I tried a different color and did MX

Children are really cute and they make photos become cheerful. Just look at those innocent smiles! They are really happy to be shot.

Well, how about the ordinary format?? I think it’s quite easy to compose, you can try using the rule of thirds.

And the crazy thing to make portrait photos is to let the sprocket holes get exposed! With red leaks and some MX-ed photos, you can make stunning results! Oh yeaah..

Don’t forget to try using props like masks!

Portrait photos are really interesting to try…
