Create a toy snake with your plastic canisters! Don't throw away you plastic canisters, you can surely make something out of them.
When the Year of The Snake started weeks ago, I suddenly remembered having a bamboo snake toy when I was a child. So, I created one with plastic film canisters.
What you need:
- 6 to 10 plastic film canisters. Preferably white or transparent.
- Cutter
- Scissors
- Long-nose pliers
- Wire
Step 1: Remove the base of the film canister.
Step 2: Cut a trapezoid-like shape on each end of the canister and punch a hole on each trapezoid. I used the tip of the scissors to create the holes. Make six or more of this.
Your snake’s length will depend on how many canisters you will use.
Step 3: Make a handle of the toy.
Step 4: Combine them together using the wire
And you now have a DIY toy snake! You can color and design it just like La Sardina Camera and Flash DIY Edition
