For a long time I wanted to sew a pocket for the Lomography Spinner 360 °. Only I was long undecided in what way I should now do exactly. Today I bought new beautiful purple felt and then i had to start right away.
You will need:
- Felt (about 2.5 mm thick)
- Scissors
- paper
- Cutter
- Scotch tape
- Ruler
- Sewing Machine / Needle
- Wool
- Marker
- Button
First of all I have built a sample of paper to see how it would look about. The parts I’ve put on by the Spinner 360 ° and marked with a ruler. Then cut and glued together with adhesive easily.
Then I cut the pattern apart again to cut the pieces out of the felt. I put the pieces of paper on the felt and the vertices labeled with a marker. With a ruler, I joined the corners and then cut out the shapes.
Now sewn together the four parts with the sewing machinethe. If I had it sewn by hand, the edges would have been sure nice. But I didn’t want everything unravel.
For the base I cut a small square out of the felt and then hand sewn on the bottom, because to the corners you comes so badly with the machine. Afterwards i go over the edge with the sewing machine with the zigzag stitch so that it fits better with the rest.
Now to the cover. Simply cut a square in the measured size and sew on the rear side of the bag with the sewing machine.
In the Front still a flap on the cover and around i sewing over the edge. To close the bag I sewing in the front a fitting button. Then braded a tape with wool and sew it to the flap. This band just two to three times wrapped around the button, and already holds the lock.
On the sides I found the bag yet so empty, so I stitched with wool on one side 360 ° and on the other is a heart with Lomo inside.
My other bags for inspiration:
Lots of fun making it :)
