Homemade Bottle-Cap-Splitzer for La Sardina / Diana Mini!

Don't throw away the bottle cap after enjoying your Cola! Keep and transform it into a homemade splitzer for your La Sardina or even Diana Mini!

Ever wanted a splitzer for your La Sardina and Diana Mini!? All you need is just a plastic bottle cap, permanent marker and a pen knife as cutting tool.

  • Step 1: Slide the bottle cap on your La Sardina to check if it fits the lens. Try your best to find the most suitable one.
  • Step 2: Cut away the unshaded area as shown in the picture with a pen knife. The shaded area with permanent marker is to absorb the remaining lights from entering the splitzer.
  • Step 3: Now you are done with your splitzer!

If the La Sardina is not well fitted to your lens, my way of doing it is to line the inner side of the bottle cap with cupboard strip, until it could fit closely to the lens.

Now you can try your bottle-cap-splitzer on, and shoot away your film!

Here are some results presented by the splitzer.
