When you discover the colorful world of Lomography, you don’t just learn the ropes on your own or keep the photos to yourself and a handful of people. Once you become a member of the wonderful community of lomographers, you’re in for an analogue adventure and some nice perks!

1. The chance to be recognized and featured all over the Lomography website for your amazing photos

By joining the community, you also opened the doors to many possibilities regarding your lomographic career. Aside from making thousands of lomographers welcome to marvel and comment your work, you have also given yourself the chance to get some recognition! Lomography has many ways of putting the spotlight on the best lomographers out there: LomoHome of the Day, Photo of the Day, and Popular Photos are just a few!

2. Unleash your inner writer and become a Magazine Contributor

Yes, aside from being a community of creative snapshooters, Lomography is also a magazine you can find all sorts of tips, tricks, and features that are relevant to your interests. These articles are written for lomographers by lomographers, so if you have something awesome to share, you can always submit an article or two to the Magazine. For every article that gets published, you can get Piggy Points to spend in the Lomography Shop!

3. Earn Piggy Points to use in the Lomography Online Shop

Piggy points are your ticket to instant gratification in the Lomography Online Shop. Oink! Simply put, piggy points are online store credits that can be earned by participating in the Lomography community. Whether it be winning a contest, writing a review or Tipster post, or being chosen as the Lomohome of the Day, almost anything can earn you money to spend on the Lomographic products of your choice! Those who have just registered for a LomoHome can take a look at the FAQ Section on Piggy Points for more information!

4. Plenty of chances to win awards and other neat prizes when you participate in Competitions

The community is teeming with bright minds that find delight in some fun, friendly, and creative shooting prompts and competitions, so there is always a new rumble to take part in. 5. Access to the latest info on promotions, vouchers, events, and more by Subscribing to the Newsletter

If you’d like to be updated with the latest deals, promotions, and events, Lomography sends out Newsletters to make sure you’re always in the know. Remember, you can also subscribe to as many Local Lomography Newsletters and Gallery Store Newsletters as you want!

6. Lomography Shop’s customer service staff are always ready to assist your needs

One of the most important things to consider when buying something is the after-sales service. There’s no denying that you can get a lot of neat stuff in garage sales, antique stores, and online shops, but it’s also always a gamble. Once your camera ends up faulty, there’s often no choice but to bring it somewhere and pay for it to get fixed. Lomography and its customer service staff, however, are always ready to give you a helping hand in case your goodies purchased from the Shop get a case of the hiccups! Also, remember that all the cameras purchased from the Shop come with a 2-year warranty!

I agree with all these points and for me, the bet thing about being in the community is the people I have met, both on here, carried over to twitter and in "real life".
