Now it's tipster time about the Lomography Spinner 360. The tips that I want to give now is the one you, the Spinner Lomographer, need.
Have you ever gotten your photos like the one above? When your hand that pulls the cord is disturbing your photos, or when you do overhead spins, your head is included in it because you can’t take the spinner high enough. Now i want to share what I do to avoid that.
I call it thumbing. The idea is you hold the spinner’s cord by your thumb, or another finger (like in the picture above), and release the cord when you want to spin. So you can spin and take the picture just with one hand, then your hand or your head will not disturb your photos again. Also, you can take photos while your other hand does something else.
So that’s the quick tip that i can give. i hope its going to be useful for you.

Check out the similar "forefinger grip" in my shadow here (Hint: I've isolated the frame in the minimovie!!) http://www.lomograph(…)os/16919611

Could you please describe how you get your ring pull to that position without the camera spinning anyway? If you wanted to pull the whole string out, how would you do so without losing the tension in the string that stops it from spinning?

@hazy_baby I pull the string and take it around the grip. hold the ring with your finger.
