I had always worried about my beautiful La Sardina when I put it in my pocket without protection. So, I finally sewed a bag made of felt. It's not perfect, but that's the way sometimes with analog stuff! Read on to learn how I did it!
Everything you need for your bag:
- Felt in a color of your choice (my bag is about 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) thick turquoise and would not take him thin!)
- Scissors
- Yarn in a color of your choice (I use purple)
- Pressure knob
- Sewing thread in color of the felt
- Sewing needle and embroidery needle
- Ruler
First, I built a dummy made of paper to see how the construction of the bag fits:
With a ruler, I measured the camera. For the cutting of felt, I always add about 5mm too, otherwise the bag is too small. After a few hours it was finally finished. I also had to change one or two and some other things I could change, but to me it goes like that and I think she really sweet, my new bag!
For the belt I simply took the screw from the Sprocket Rocket and used the strap from another bag. Have fun tinkering and report on issues easy!
I built the whole thing even for the Diana Mini. But something more complex, because the lower part is always on the camera, and I only take it off when loading and unloading film:
