Get Wider with the LC-Wide!

Besides shooting with the LC-Wide in 3 formats (Full frame/half frame/ Square), you can actually shoot endless panoramas with Lomography's wide-angled wonder! Learn how to do it after the jump!

I can only say that the LC-Wide is a great camera as it can shoot many different formats and styles. It can take close up shots and distance shots, and aside from the normal full frame format, it can also shoot half frames and square format.

Wide angle
Square format
Half frame

But, there’s also a special hidden format!

Let me show you the photos first:

That’s right! You can get endless panoramic shots. The most important fact is that this is a very simple tipster. You can try out if you have the following items:

1. One LC-Wide
2. Your favorite films
3. Willingness to experiment

Follow the steps below!

1. First, load your films.
2. Switch the LC-Wide to half frame setting.
3. Adjut the lens cover to the half frame opening
4. Most importantly: Do not install the half frame mask. As this tipster did not mention using the mask, please take note!

Once prepared, go take some photos with a sense of experimentation!!!

Lastly, you need to find a lab that can scan panoramic photos, such as LOMOLAB, and ask them to scan your film in pano format, and stitch the files using Windows Live Essentials’ Photo Gallery.

It only takes a few steps to stitch your photos together, you can do the same for your Spinner 360° photos.

Step 1
Step 2

This is how it was done; Come on, go experiment and take some great panoramic shots!

Go, go, go!!!

The Lomo LC-Wide boasts the newly-developed 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens. This 35mm camera wonder is the perfect companion for your photo expeditions. It produces eye-catching splashes of colour with astonishing saturation and contrasts with the added versatility of 3 different formats.
