If you have some film negatives in your drawer that didn't make you very happy, it's time to bring it to the light. You can create a very analogue environment with this tipster!
With this trick you will exhibit your worst shots as if they were real works of art. Don’t miss the steps you must follow and tell me what you think.
You will need:
- clear glass cups (or colored, why not?)
- candles
- scissors
- tape
- film slides with their plastic sleeves
The first step is to choose the slides you want to show. Then you have to crop the image, put it in the plastic and stick it in the glass. Try to cut the wick the same size of the slide so that the image on the film can be noticeable. Then put the candle inside the glass and voila!
Of course, you can follow these steps or you can try with other films, like for example black and white ones.
Or you can also try other sizes like 35mm films.
My favorites are slide negatives, but you can try what you want so your guests will be amazed by this little trick. And don’t forget to tell me everything, of course!

Hmm. I thought films are flammable? I saw in another tipster that created light decoration with films and a fellow lomographer said films are highly flammable so be cautious! =)
