Get a Handle on the La Sardina

Here, I'll show you a super simple way to add a strap to your La Sardina camera. The steps are simple and easy. Learn the steps on how to do this after the break.

One interesting feature of La Sardina is the dedicated flash port for Fritz the Blitz. Instead of a standard hot shoe, the product designers at Lomography.com decided to use a dedicated port similar to other cameras manufactured at the time of the Irwin Kandor Candid camera on which La Sardina is based. The Kandor Candid did not have support for a flash, but other cameras of the time had flashes that a user would mount by screwing them into the side of the camera. Here’s what the flash port for La Sardina looks like:

Hmm. The bush looks familiar. Yes. It looks just like the tripod bush on the bottom of La Sardina.

If you happen to have one of these little things that screws into a tripod bush to give you a loop, you can screw it into the side of La Sardina.

I got one with my Sprocket Rocket, but you can pick them up at most pro camera shops. If you can’t get one, you can also use a 1/4" eye-bolt. They look like this:

You can saw off the excess with a hack saw if necessary. Here’s what mine looks like with the hand strap:

Now I can use La Sardina with confidence not having to worry about dropping my precious.

Get ready to sail the high seas with our new La Sardina collection! These 35mm cameras are equipped with spectacular wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities, and a rewind dial—everything you need for fun-filled and thrill-soaked escapades. Get your own La Sardina camera now!

Brilliant! Might have to try making it a bit prettier myself, but at least it solves a problem! And good choice with the Domino design! :P

I thought this months ago, when I bought my La Sardina, the only problems was the size of the tripod bush I was using, was too long, so I stayed with the idea on my mind. Anyway, thanks for make this tipster, it's really helpful
