How to make your own Holga Splitzer using cardboard? I'll show you how I made mine :)

I tried to find Holga Splitzer in local shop and also online shop but I failed. Maybe Holga didn’t produce a splitzer yet. So I decided to make one by my own.

You’ll need:

  • Cardboard (I used my Holga Flash box)
  • Thick paper (I used film box)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Sellotape
  • Black marker

Step 1: Trace your lens cap with a pencil and cut it as seen above.

Step 2: Cut a thick paper into two pieces.

Step 3: Stick them together.

Step 4: Fit it on your lens and stick them tightly so in can’t barely move.

Step 5: Make a straight line on the cardboard and cut it.

Step 6: Blacken the inside of your splitzer.

That’s it! Your splitzer has two wings! Don’t forget to close one wing upon shooting. Good luck!

The Holga Family is known for its saturation, shadowy vignettes, and dream-like scenes. This iconic camera clan will definitely steal your heart with its plastic charm. Head to our Shop and see which Holga is for you!
