Alternative Uses of Film Canisters
27 38 Share TweetI am sure that a lot of you have film canisters gathering dust in the corners of your rooms. Here are some things that you can put inside them so that we may extend their purpose.
Film canisters are basically containers that protect our film from outside elements, prior to its use. But after we use the film, what are the other possible uses of a film canister? Since they basically are small containers, here are some suggested small items that are best kept inside a used canister (all suggestions are based on personal experience):
Negative strips that I use for my LC-A+ ISO12 modification.
Masking tape. Comes very handy for any Lomographer.
Spare LR44 battery for my Lomo LC-A+.
Color gels for my Color Splash Flash.
Sometimes, I even use it as a coin purse.
Or even a medicine box. I usually have headaches and paracetamol is an essential companion.
If you pack lunch, you may even use it as container for condiments such as salt, sugar, ketchup, seasoning, etc.
How about you? What stuff do you keep inside your used canisters?
