Have you ever dreamt to see the sun straight from your eyes, but have never been able to do so because it might affect your vision? Well, your Lomography camera can help you out!

Seeing the sun just with your bare eyes can cause harmful effects to your vision. Here, I have some tips in order for you guys to see the beauty of the sun glare. The effects of the sun glare might be different depending on the type of camera, film and the lens. The intensity of the sunlight also plays a role in determining the image of sun glare captured.

Some may get the blazing colors of the sunlight, and others may only get a plain shot. And all these depend on how you manage to find the right and perfect combination to get the best result.

As for me, I like to use slide films to capture sun glare because of the wonderful result that I get after being cross processed. The wide-angle Sprocket Rocket gives the most fascinating photo because I can see the panoramic view of the shot.

These are the other photos that I have taken. I also have been experimenting with black and white films. Recently, I used Kodak Professional 400CN B&W film with my Diana Mini.

Good luck trying and don’t forget to share your photos with us. Don’t think, just shoot!

Galen Rowell used to do this trick where he would stand with someone so that their head just blocked out the sun and then he would use a fill flash so that it looked like they had a halo!
