Simple Storage For Your Rolls of Film

If you're anything like me you're a clutterer. Clutter, mess, and general untidiness seems to accumulate everywhere I go. No matter how hard I try to avoid it I'm always doomed to be the opposite of neat and tidy. However, I'm striking back at fate as I've come up with a quick, simple way to store my rolls of film and express my love of movies while re-appropriating some old VHS boxes.

Bleurgh! Boring old film boxes, look at them huddled together like they’re tough.

Take your rolls out of their boxes and plastic tubs. Set the trash aside ready to recycle and group your rolls of film together.

I have a few cool videos, usually found unwanted in thrift/charity shops often for as little as 10p. Here I’m using the Pre-Cert UK version of Mad Max in a large clam-shell box.

Set the actual video cassette aside if you want to keep it, or add it to your recycling pile. This type of box is awesome as they come with their own little tray design inside.

You can comfortably fit about fifteen 35mm rolls inside this type of box. Now your film is protected, safe and looks rad to boot. This would also work for your 120 film, but you don’t need me telling you that.

And there you go, a nice little way to de-clutter your rolls of film while also recycling old VHS boxes. You could start a collection, Disney, horror, trash cinema. Maybe keep your black and white film in a black and white movie box? Combine your movie love with your LOMO love.

you can also just get the empty boxes w/out the tapes in them, thereby keeping the tapes from going to the landfill. You can join your local Freecycle group to get the boxes for nothing.

Anything that gives new life to Mad Max is definitely note worthy.
