This is a super duper simple and awesome technique to have a sprocket holes on any 35mm camera.Everyone should try it,since the tools needed is common things that we have in our house.
Yeah i know that we can have sprocket holes if we scan 35mm film using 120mm holder.but what if we dont have that,and the lab want to charge extra for doing that?Here is the solution.
First,all you need is a scissor.If you dont have a scissor,you can also any type of cutting tool such a razor blade,knife etc.
Next you need a piece cellophane tape.
Then the main thing that we need is a piece of developed film strip,at least 4.5cm long.
Now what we are going to do is just to maske a simple mask inside our camera.
Cut the upper part and the lower part of the film strip.
And then the last thing that you have to do is just place it inside your camera,like what i’ve shown below.
As a result,you will get something like this.
I’m usine Olympus XA1 with cross processed Sensia 100
And please bear in mind,that we already use the upper part and the lower part of our 35mm film for the sprocket holes.So to get a good potrait picture,make sure to place the subject at the centre of the viewfinder when u want to shoot.You dont want an alien without a head in your picture,don’t you?

Maybe we can make a negative version of your example mask.. so that the inside of the sproket holes will be black and the outsides of each hole will be exposed. I'll try it! :)))

@dearjme: I think it would be possible if you cut out the little holes and you place them on some transparent tape (sandwiched) then you just put that in the back of the camera...

The negative version would be easy too: just take a sheet of transparent plastic, stick a bit of film to it (with tape on the ends), fill in the sprocket holes with black marker or paint or something, remove the film from your transparent sheet and voila: a row of black marks in the right shape and proportions. Cut out, stick to camera as desribed in this tipster and you're ready to go.
