Bulb Mode with Adjustable Aperture for LC-A

Looking for a solution to set your LC-A to bulb mode? But your shutter won't compromise when you adjust your aperture for bulb?

Theres no need for internal or external modification to make this thing happen. All you need is:

1. Your LC-A
2. A little patience

First of all, just open a battery cover on the bottom of your LC-A, and you will see the symbol for the positive terminal. What you need to do is take out all the batteries and put them back in the opposite direction, which means position the positive end of your battery beside the negative terminal. That’s all! But this trick only works with LC-A and not LC-A+.

f/11 in B mode 4 mins

Now you can enjoy capturing light trails and other experiments.

Here is a link to a video on how to do this tip: LC-A bulb mode with adjustable aperture.

I've just try it....It only work ONE time then you have to put the batteries on again in the right way and then reverse it again to work it again!

maybe it depend on the batteries type, silver oxide vs alkaline tipe (sr44 or lr44), however, I've had some successfully multiple Bulb with the oldes LCA I have, the one with the electric contacts on the bottom.

Tidak berhasil di LC-A+, lampu indikator tidak menyala dua-duanya. ;D
Think this is harmful for the electronic parts inside your LC-A, like diode : to allow an electric current to pass in one direction (called the diode's forward direction), while blocking current in the opposite direction (the reverse direction) - what wikipedia says.

@ho0la you've just revealed an awesome tipster! awesomeee for those who succed!

Harmful.. Will it hurt the diodes, resistors and others, no.. .. But Im sure there is a chip in there for controlling the shutter and if any polarized capacitors (not likley in there, but you never know ), those may be damaged by a reversal. Time will tell if it damages the chip. I would not be reversing batteries on a 20+ year old camera, just my opinion on 25 years of electronic repair.
