Extreme Vignetting

Are you like the rest of us Lomo geeks? Do you love the vignette around your lovely colour-popping pictures? Well, here is an awesome tipster on how to greatly exaggerate that vignette using your Lomo LC-A.

What you need.
A Lomo LC-A
Some creative juices

Open up the shutter blades on your LC-A, and then frame your shot.

Before you take the picture, half-depress the shutter button down and then close the shutter blades half way (this won’t work if you dont hold the shutter button halfway, as it is a safety feature not to take shots while the shutter blades are closed). You can use the viewfinder blinds as a guide. I usually close mine until they cover half the frame, any more will result in hardly any pictures in the center.

Then it is totally up to you how much you close the shutter blades to add that extreme vignette.

The most important element to remember when using this tip is to totally and utterly have fun!
