Self-Portraits : Mirrors, Reflections, and Everywhere!

I guess it's not something new. I think mostly all of us did this before. Well, reflection from the mirror is always the best way to capture yourself, without the help from others. It's fun, and interesting. It's cute to capture yourself with your camera as well.

It’s definitely a great way to show off your body, or your new outfit, or maybe your 2-hard-hours of doing your hair and make up with slightly more ‘interesting’ and wider angles.

Or on the other hand, you can keep it real mysterious by covering up your face with your camera! This is a great way to showing off your newly bought gadget instead of having your face that’s getting all the attention.

How? It’s just as easy as ABC.

First, look for anything that will gives reflection. For e.g. mirror, a pile of water, signboard, web camera, sunglasses, and so on.

Second, strike your best pose, and smile. (The advantage of taking self-portraits with the reflection of the mirror is that you can always double check your appearance : Is your hair is messy, or is there any food stains on your top or checking the best angle of your self that will make you look leaner and slimmer.) and oh, don’t forget to guess-timate the distance of your reflection when using the Lomo LC-A

Third, Just Shoot.

:)

And you can even include your partner-in-crime or your buddies in the picture as well.

I always look for mirrors or reflective doors, or signboard wherever I go. I love self-portraits. I love it to have in a special way, with different types of mirrors and reflections.

Come and lets have fun and enjoy shooting yourself! :)
