Crease and scratch your negs

Add extra effect to your photos by bending and scratching your negatives before you develop them!

This is super easy! After you have shot a whole roll of film, wind it back so that the leader bit is still showing.

You need to do the next steps in a dark room

Pull some of the film out of the canister.

Bend and crease away! You can try scratching, use something like a tooth pick to make scratches.

The little marks that you make (you won’t be able to see them, youll be in the dark!) will come out in the film later! Rewind the film, and give to your lab to develop (or be super adventurous and do it yourself!)

I had a pretty bad attempt of scanning some of the negatives to try and show what the creases look like on the developed film.

Good luck!

For anyone who remembers seeing "The Omen" (1976) this crease effect could be a little creepy.

I remember years ago seeing photo's by Robert Frank where he scratched words into the negatives fun, to try, especially on the negatives of the the photo's you didn't like, can do something interesting with them.
