Scratch It when It's Crap!

You've got pictures that you sorted out, but you don't have the heart to throw them away? Then here comes a dead right tipster for you!

On almost every film you can find pictures you don’t like that much or that simply weren’t sucessful. But giving them in the trash is still hard.
Accidently some pictures had scratches on the surface and I got the idea to be a little creative. So I added some further scratch drawings with the cutter knife.
I liked my first attempt. Now the supposed to be lost pictures could get a new sense and clarity.

There are millions of possibilities of what to do with them now.
Take care that you use a solid underlay that can be damaged while scratching and that you don’t scratch too deep otherwise your picture will fall into pieces.
Now your creativity has no limits: frame them, use them for invitations or give them away as cards for your friends. Leave little messages throughout your city and express what you feel!

Have a lot of fun and express yourself!

This is a pretty simple concept, but it's pretty clever. By adding text or illustration, you can give your images kind of a graphic design quality!

Simple but creative indeed! Do you scratch on the printed shot or directly on the negative?

@ lomoloque: I took a cutter knife. But you can use any other sharp object that is good to handle.
@ vicuna: I only scratch on the prints. Because I have no negative scanner by now, I get all films in printed pictures that I scan afterwards. There are often some that came out not so successful, and than the idea to scratch on them came to me.

While I was wondering how to draw with a pencil on a photo's glossy surface, you gave me the answer. Forget about pencil, KNIFE it.
