Sometimes forgetting is not so bad...
Here is the perfect tipster for those of us who are forgetful and don’t mind admitting it… Long live forgetfulness!
This goes from a day I forgot my LC-A+ I don’t know where (how would I know, since I’m so forgetful…) and after a couple of months, by an act of magic (why would I bother in looking for anything if one day, by chance everything appears?) it appeared of course. I saw it had a film in it, so I used it until it was done.
The thing is, that film had been in the camera… over a year! And since my LC-A+ seems to be like the Guadiana, appears and disappears, between those periods that I didn’t know where it had hidden, and the ones I took pictures, it took me a year to finish the film… and some months (give it 2 at least) until I took it for developing.
And how do I know it took over a year to finish this film? Because of an exposition in the ‘Cristal de El Retiro’ palace, which took place in November, and the last photo I got from the film is in November (of course) from the year after… surprise!
I realized all of this when I got the film developed, that I started thinking “what are these photos doing here? If they’re from…” and here I finish, for the moment, my forgetful adventure. Forgetfulness with a happy ending of course, because the photos came out more blue (minus one which turned out red…!), more grainy, and much more “soft” (if this term applies to photography…) … I love them!
So what do you think? Is forgetfulness worth it? :)
