I know we all love our Lomo Cameras just the way they are, there's no doubt about that. But wouldn't it be awesome to have your own personalized camera?

Your very own camera that screams, “I MADE IT MYSELF & IT’S DEFINITELY ONE OF A KIND.” :))
I do. That’s why i tried to art things up a bit with my Holga 120 Camera.

Out of boredom and my itching artistic hands I DRESSED UP MY LOMO. _
There’s nothing to lose and it’s worth a try.

There are lots of modified/personalized cameras out there and I know I’m not the first one to suggest about this topic. In fact, I saw much more amazing art works done with their cameras than mine. But that shouldn’t stop me from sharing my own version, right? ^^

Since the blank/plain black body of my Holga camera is begging me to paint something on it, make it more girly and accessories it, i took the risk and explored my artistic imagination. I tried to put out my personality through decorating my camera, which is ART+MUSIC+FASHION. Of course my first 2 or 3 trials didn’t work out from what I expected. It was either too much or too less & too sparkly or too dark/dull. But I know i had to keep working on it before the inspiration dies.

What you need:
~ any patterned fabric that you like
~ double sided tape
~ ruler for measurement
~ scissor

From the title itself “DRESS YOUR LOMO”, I used clothes which I couldn’t fit in anymore, some stained or ruined or you could just buy a printed fabric that you like. First I measured the parts where I wanted to put the design and drew the measurements on a paper/cardboard layout. Then trace the cardboard layout around the fabric and cut it out. Put on some double sided tapes on the parts of your camera that you measured and finally stick the fabric carefully, cause it’s a little bit tricky. And after that it’s all done. You can now enjoy shooting with your newly modified camera. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the best part – you can always change your cameras clothes whenever you want to. You can make a whole wardrobe for your camera. _

BONUS:
As you can see from my photos, I also painted the upper part of my camera pink and put some glitters on it. Also, I changed my strap to a beaded strap and chain. You can try it out too.

I used:
~ colored nail polish
~ glitter glue
~ beaded necklace
~ chain

It’s very easy, you can figure out how to make it yourself. I hope this one helps. :))
Cheers for my very first tipster article and Lomo on.!

Great idea, fantastic look. You made me think about putting my Holga in a Star Trek uniform, which would match not only my user name but one of my other hobbies, too. :)

Forsaken, I sincerely hope that you do, and that you post pictures! So can anyone tell me if the nailpolish continues to smell super bad long after it has dried? I'd love to use some of mine for this purpose, but not if it's going to be too stinky!
