Here are some of my newly brainstormed ideas for some snazzy frames!

First we have the Pencil Shavings frame; it’s a peculiar thing, yes but it looks really cool too. You’ll need colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, wide transparent tape, and your photo.

Sharpen all of the colors from your colored pencils and shake the sharpener a bit to mix them all together. The more pencils, the more colors!

Then, tape your photo, as always with the sticky side up.

Then dump all of the shavings onto a paper and sprinkle/rub/dab them onto the tape. Try to cover ALL of the stickiness from the tape.

After you’ve covered the tape, shake/brush/blow the excess shavings off gently.

Then, tape it to the wall! The contrast of the shavings to other colored walls should be quite interesting….

Second is the Shredded frame; you’ll need a phone book (or newspaper), your photo, wide tape and paper shredding skills.

Rip out a couple pages from the phone book.

Shred them into thin strips, trying to keep them long enough to measure up with the sides of your photo.

Then, do the usual tape with the sticky up.

Add all the strips along the borders of the photo. You can choose to stick them on, then rip them off again, leaving only some of the paper on. It’s alright if there are some parts of the tape that aren’t covered.

Stick it to the wall and see how it looks!

Third is the Origami frame; possibly one of the more time consuming frames. You’ll need the thing strips of origami star paper, strong transparent tape, and your photo.

Then, tape your photo, as always with the sticky side up.

Then, start coiling your papers into tight, mini-cylinders. You’ll have to do them one by one.

Take the tight coil and let it loosen to the wideness of your preference and smush it to the tape, but not to hard! It should stay on the tape in the general shape that you want it to.

Fill up the entire frame with colored coils, making them different sizes is best.

You get the idea right? After all of that, slap it to the wall and see what you’ve done!

If you don’t like coils, you could always make stars or other shapes. Origami stars are shown here

Hope you all enjoy!
