Diana Mini - Splitzer Made of Film Canister Caps

You can make this tipster even if you are all thumbs. Within a couple of minutes you can tinker a Splitzer for your Diana Mini!

All you need are caps of film canister, a saw/scissors and double-faced adhesive tape.

There you go!

Carve any “pie slices” out of the caps. The best is to saw several caps, to have more splitzer in the end.

Glue your individual “pie slices” with the even side onto the double-faced tape. Afterwards cut it all around.

Now you have small pieces made of film canister caps with a matching part. I glued during a visit to the zoo the splitzer on the back of my hand which was pretty handy.

Be creative!
Just glue 1 piece on the lens of your DianaMini , release and affix the matching part to the object lens.

Have fun!

@copefan: from my films ;D the film, which you buy in the drugstore or at lomo-shop, is in a canister. And the cap from it, you can use! total simple!

Great tip ! I combined your tip with this "one":http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2010/09/04/diana-lens-cap-splitzer minus the tape, for my diana mini. I used a certain type of canisterlid (I think I got it from ilford hp5 plus) and it kind of stays in place on its own. I cut my lid the same way paramir cut his lenscap.
