Instant of Love: Make Your Own at Home!

We're going to show you how to make a super-easy and ultra-cool little instant project that's sure to spruce up any room! It makes a cute gift and is also the perfect conversation starter at parties! Read on for some Instant Love 101.

As you may or may not have heard, some of our Gallery Stores are putting together their own Instant photography exhibitions – The Instant of Love. But if you don’t live near a participating store, don’t panic! We’ll show you how to make this fun and easy little project!

All you need to make your own ‘Instant of Love’:

  • Instant Camera or an Instant Back for your Diana+/LC-A+
  • Instant Film
  • Fotoclips
  • Some friends!

So, all you need to do is load your Instant camera or the Instant Back of your Diana+ or LC-A+ with the film. Now grab your first subject, get in real close and snap them! As your first photo is warming up, grab your second friend!

Get them to hold the picture you have just taken next to their face, get in close and snap them! Now take the new photo and repeat with a different friend. Keep repeating to create an endless Instant of Love-Train! If you run out of friends, start using strangers!

Now when you’re finished – or when you’ve run out of film – grab your Fotoclips and link your instant shots together to create a unique and great-looking little art project!

Stick it to your wall, hang it by your desk, send it to a friend – do whatever you want with it! We want to see yours, so keep us posted on your Instant efforts!

Do fotoclips stick onto walls by itself? Or would I need to use something else to stick the whole thing on?
