Lost your white plastic canister flash diffuser? Out of your home and need an alternative? This is what you should do!
So I was out with my friends, and by the time I left my house, I forgot to bring my DIY film canister flash diffuser for my colorsplash flash! I knew that if I used my colorsplash flash without it, I’d have overexposed shots, or a bright flash covering up my friends faces! An alternative had to be made, and so I thought to myself, tissue! Tissue is everywhere!
Next thing i needed was tape, to stick the tissue to my colorsplash flash of course. I kindly ask the waiter if they had any tape, and lucky me the waiter gave me some. Then gave me a weird look, which I didn’t mind because it was a weird request.
Here’s what you do:
1. Get tissue and fold it into a size small enough to fit your flash
2. Tape that tissue to your flash
3. Take pictures!
I was hesitant about this, worrying that it might not work. But when I got the results of my film, I was so happy that the tissue did its job! Tissue…more than just wiping off tears =)

SO simple, I wonder why I never tried it. I never thought of using a flash diffuser on my color-splash, nor my Diana flash. I need to try this. congrats on the published article, dude

great and easy tipster ;-) for those who have more time, i made something like this with the plastic container from a 35mm film.. cut it in the half and then it fits nearly perfect around the coloursplash, tape it at the top and you can even fold it up an down, easy but very useful..

same with lawypop.. i cut the tracing paper perfectly to replace one of the gel... but before that tissue paper have been one of my emergency use also... alternative is to cut the plastic canister : usually come in white or black.....and it can fit perfectly too....
