An easy but effective technique for your beloved Diana Multi Pinhole Operator!
What you need is a Diana Multi Pinhole Operator, a tripod and film, film, and lots of film. You need the DMPO cause it has the automatic bulb-setting, means as long as the switch is down, it exposes. Insert the film as usual, mount your DMPO on the tripod, look for something you want to shoot and let the technique starts. Depending on the light conditions you expose the first part quite normal, underexpose only a little bit (about minus 1/4th of the exposure time) and start advancing the film while you are exposing. Now you have to be careful to avoid over- or under exposure. As the film is transported, some parts will be exposed longer. So expose around 1/4th of the regular time while transporting. Due to the transportation, the speed changes.
For me it has to do with a feeling for the light conditions, the film and the subject. It is a trial and error thing, I guess and you should be used to pinhole photography or this technique might be disappointing.
As my scanner can scan a maximum of 3 6×6-shots in a row I avoid taking longer shots. But that would be possible, too. One entire film shot with advance technique, that would look cool!
So here a guide in steps:
1. Insert a film
2. Mount the tripod
3. Look for a subject
4. Start shooting the first part and
5. Start advancing while you still expose.
6. Stop exposing (after 3 frames)
7. Advance to the next number without exposing ;)
You can also try this technique with 35mm films and the Diana 35mm Back.
But as you can see here: The sky was too bright and i exposed too long so the subject disappeared.

@disdis the dmpo is worth buying... i wanted it for soooooo long and after i got it i used it a lot! like the multi pinhole settings, too and the filters... ach... wonderful (have i already written a review???)

Wow I was waiting for this tipster for long time!!! The first part was clear in my mind when Stephan wrote Advance Technique:) But for step 6 and step 7 I was blind! This tipster is very helpfull ! I love your pictures and the results of this experiment :)

@-dakota- sorry... i just now saw your comment... the diana f+ works also for that technique, but it is much easier with the DMPO as the shutter just stays open and you do not have to hold it down... so you have the hand to advance... :)
