A very easy tipster on how to get instant redscales. I've wanted to try this out for quite a while and some weeks ago I finally bought the piece of red foil necessary for the realisation of my idea!
Actually, I was looking for an orange foil but as I couldn’t find one, I thought I’d have a go with the red one. So the basic idea is to stick a piece of that foil into your Diana+ just in front of where the film later is.
As the foil takes a lot of light, you’ll have to compensate that with your settings. When it was really sunny, I took the normal lens and set my Diana+ on very cloudy. In the shadow, I went for the wide angle or the super-wide angle lens, still on very cloudy. As you can see on the photos, quite a lot of contrast gets lost with the dark red foil, but I still think some of the shots are really lovely. If I find an orange foil one day, I’ll definitely give it another try.
