Taking extreme close-ups with your Lomo LC-A+ is easy!
All you need is your Lomo LC-A+ and a magnifying glass. The important thing to remember to keep this tip simple is to use a magnifying glass with a handle, otherwise it’s just awkward. You need to experiment with your magnifying glass to find the “sweet spot” for pics to be in focus. I found that it works best when I hold the glass touching the camera with the center (the thickest part) in line with its lens and hold the entire apparatus about 3 inches from the subject.
The above pics were taken with the aperture fully open (f2.8). I think this increases the bokeh, or blurriness, in the background, but I haven’t experimented with it enough to know for sure.
Good luck and happy shooting!

Shot 2 is awesome. Additional hint: The smaller the aperture / larger the f-stop(f16); the larger the depth of sharpness. Think pinhole camera. So you are right to get more bluriness from f2.8.

Great tipster! There are indeed screw-on magnifying glasses called 'close-up lenses' for system SLRs. What magnifying glass strength did you use?
