Colorsplash Flash Limiter
written by drumfire on July 14th, 2009 , 11 comments (7 votes)

If you are using a high speed film or if you are too close to your object chances are your pictures taken with a flash can be overexposed. But there’s an easy and quick solution- just cover the flash head with your fingers. Putting them in this way in front of the Colorsplash Flash can limit intensity of its light rather giving a subdued glow in your photographs.

You can use also use paper, a sheet of tissue or anything similar that would diffuse the flash effectively.

Nice tip! If you want something more elaborate you can cut one white film canister (those little round boxes where the 35mm films come in) and put it on your coloursplash flash, it will fit there nicely and you can keep your other hand free for whatever you need (like grabbing an unwilling target to prevent him from escaping your lomographic desires)!

May I ask what type of camera you're using.
I've purchased a Fisheye recently, and can't decide on what to get next.

@mrbunnypants. Looks like he's using the LCA+ with wide angle lens to me. It's a great pair to own especially for shooting close up objects.
