I like to fiddle with cameras. The less invasive, the better!
A lot of cameras will do double exposures. Here is one way to find out if your camera will. The trick is simple and non invasive. After shooting the shot you want to double over: Hold down your rewind button while cocking the shutter. Watch the rewind spool closely while cocking, (it helps to make sure the film is tight), if the spool does not turn, you can make the double shot.
I used a Time Life type camera for this technique to show you how it is done.

Hi monoflow..you might not know this about your LCA +, (if you bought it used and do not have a manual), because that is one of the really great and wonderful things about your LCA+, If this is the one you have. They built the double feature into the cameras, as well in other lomo cameras.... I do not have an original LCA , so do not have a way to test the older; but lots of older manual cameras are capable of this and lots more plastic fantastics can do it too. But because you brought this up...this is one of the many reasons I love my LCA+ so much..doubles are really easy. Thanks for the comments my Lomography friends...

The Leica R4 and 5 are also capable of doing doubles. They even say it in the manual.

I will try this with my Smena Symbol as mx is the one thing I wish it had.
My only worry is whether the winder and spool will reengage properly after the shot.
