Lend a Lomo to a friend!
written by cheeso on May 15th, 2009 , 6 comments (5 votes)

Want to take pictures of a faraway location without spending any money? Lend a Lomo to a friend and let them take pictures on their vacation!

My friend Linda went to Colorado over the weekend, so I lent her my Holga 135, loaded with some Lomographic 35mm film, and asked her to shoot away. She got some nice shots, but, because she was unfamiliar with the camera, she lost some shots due to accidentally opening the back. But that little accident created a beautiful light leak in one picture, the one of the heart-shaped wreath.

She had a lot of fun with the camera, and she is going to be more adventurous next time and actually do some multi-exposures…I can’t wait!

This is a good way to get pics from places you may not have the chance to see for sure. Last time I lent out a lomo cam it came back broken so lend wisely.

I once lent my fisheyecamera to my 6 year old son. Children look at the world throught different eyes, Althought the pics were not very beautiful, they were very special, because of the weird perspective and weird subjects (like a picture of a regular wheel of a regular car)

My fisheye has just left for Tanzania... looking forward to the results, although slightly jealous of its little adventure without me too!
