Movie Doubles, It's Simple!
written by monoflow on May 8th, 2009 , 14 comments (13 votes)

It’s raining outside, you are bored and you don’t know what to do and all you can think of is shooting, shooting and more shooting. Movie doubles is the answer!!! Grab two of your favorite movies or sacrifice walking in the rain to your nearby video take out. Get some pop corn, chips, soda, chocolate while you’re at it, anything to make it more cozy. Insert the DVD of choice in your player and sit 0.8m in front of your television. Make sure you see the screen in your viewfinder and try to leave out the edge of your TV. Now get ready to capture some Hollywood shots, be quick cause you don’t want to miss the best scenes!

I got this idea after seeing Movie doubles by sushi_9009 + vicuna album and thought it would be a great idea to give it a try. After I was done shooting my roll I spooled it back and passed it on to my boyfriend to double it with his movie of choice. We did our doubles with the LC-A, but it could be interesting to try it with another camera (if anyone has tried it keep me posted) When I received my roll back from the photo shop I was very pleased with the results and I couldn’t wait to scan them!

You can see some other movie doubles that I have done with ftomballe and vstephanie and I still can’t get enough of it! If any body is interested in doing some movie doubles with me, you are more then welcome to contact me. You can see more doubles in my Lomovies home!

Oh I like the Ninja Turtles bad guys shot. Can someone tell me the cost difference in cross processing your own film and getting it done in a lab?
