Tipster of the Week: Inside and Out!

What happens when you shoot a roll of Redscale and then flip it to the normal side for your doubles? Coolness happens!

Reversed Redscale Doubles by liquidpapercut

“__We all know how cool Redscale can be, but what happens when you shoot a roll and then flip it to the normal side for your doubles?

Well, try this one on for size! Take a roll of 35mm film and shoot it. Then take the same roll and convert it to Redscale and shoot with it again, It makes for incredible doubles! The Redscale gives you amazing reds while the normal side gives you the bright saturated colours we all crave. Also, the redscale, will create vibrant reds or give the illusion of light leaks gone wild!

Be sure to remember that when you shoot, your second exposure will appear upside down! Try shooting with your camera upside down or any which way for astounding results.

Helpful hint: A Holga with the 35mm adaptor can be loaded backwards for Redscaling. It makes this tip a whole lot easier than it would be if you have to make your own redscale film!__"

Just when you thought something won’t work but liquidpapercut made it this time with successful results! It’s a new fashion on making doubles with film! Congratulations for coming up with this tip!

Send in any of your analogue experimentations here and you might see yours awarded with piggies!

When you say convert it to redscale, do you mean shoot on the other side?

I have just made my first DIY redscale and proposed this idea to a friend who said it wouldn't work. Now I've found this, and can see it would work, I'm so excited and will be trying it this week! Great tipster.
