That’s right, you heard it! Sometimes it’s ok not to think too much about what camera to use, which settings you apply and the angle that you pick! Instead let your film have some fun! And certainly, there are many ways on how you can make a film enjoy such thing like this one I did.
How ‘bout bringing the caption into the picture? Instead of playing around too much with my cameras, I simply had my negatives developed, dug out my old typewriter from the basement and started writing all over them!
method:
- Have your negatives developed at your favourite film lab.
- Dig out your old typewriter
- Smear typex on the letters
- Start writing!

This is something I'd like to try!
What is this typex of which you speak? haha

Very, very, very, VERY fantastic photos.
I love them all very much, they're great, but I have a question, Wouldn't the typex turn out black when you reverse the negatives to make the image positive? or do you write on the photo instead than on the negatives? (I hope I'm making myself clear)

Hi guys, thx for the feedback :) Glad you like it.
Typex is in fact correction liquid. I guess it is old fashioned now, as it was used to correct spelling mistakes in handwriting or typewriting (it also came in small sheets you could use in a typewriter).
Lomolette: it remains white because it is opaque and therefore the light from the scanner, or from the enlarger, doesn't go through. The colour of the liquid itself doesn't matter.
I dod't know if I am allowed a bit of self advertising, but I am publishing a book called "Camera Visibilum", available on the show on the 19th March... Check out my web site soon to get details or email me.

ah ah... forgot to say that a lot of my Typewriter series images are in this book, as well as loads from the Swirls show.

sounds stupid when you read it, but... huh... I really like the results, just do not agree with the "don't think" slogan. I think you DO think :)

Ummm, but when you scan the negative and reverse it, the Typp-Ex will become black, why is it still white on your photos?
ukaaa
Oh wait it's answered above, sorry! So cool :)
