Pop 9 & The Holga Filter Set
written by kylethefrench on December 31st, 2008 , 3 comments (3 votes)

This may be a little of an unorthodox combination because these items may not go together, but they do like you dropped your peanut butter on my chocolate and oh my chocolate is in your peanut butter style.

So basically you use clear tape and put the holga prism filter on the front of your pop 9. The 3 different cuts of plastic give you three wild different looks. The triangley one gives you all manner of different size figures from left to right, big on left, little on right. The circle one is just all manner of crazy, some distorted some clear, all are nonsense. Then you get in addition with the stripe one the weirdest action where the top row is the top part of a image, middle rows are the middle and bottom row is the bottom, I don’t know if you feel me but I feel this.

I'm feeling it. I always never cared for the Pop 9 because all the frames are the same, but now it seems a little more versatile. It's like a supersampler and oktomat got freaky and had some mutant hybrid love child that follows its own new set of rules. Good tip.

i'm more into this tip than ever now, you really get nothing better than the stretched out 3 long images with the split vertical filter, i have taken about a millin rolls with it now and the pix are even better than the ones in this gallery--- make a new years resolution to try this tip people

I agree with lomosexual--maybe now I'll have a reason to get the Pop 9 finally. I've had whole discussions with people about how useless it is.

Opinion is free and discussion is encouraged on lomography.com, however, neither the content nor the ideas expressed in the comments are supported by or representative of the Lomographic Society International.
