4 comments and 3 votesThis Zoo gives you an experience unlike any other. A great place for the family and friends, you’re never too old for this place. It is located in the mountains, and the drive from the city is not too far away. They are members with World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), South East Asian Zoos Association, and Conservation breeding specialist group (CBSG). The animals will greet right when you hit their kingdom!

Wildlife Safari

by strangelilgirl

2 comments and 2 votesWildlife Safari is a place everyone must visit at least once in their life! Sure, all big cities have zoos, but this “drive thru” zoo gives animals great amounts of land to roam through, while you remain in your car traveling through the different areas and witnessing creatures including bears, lions, zebras and many more. One might say, the tables are turned as to who is caged up in this animal experience!

one comment and 4 votesThe zoo is one of the best places to see wild beasts and kids, as they both spend a lot of time there. So if you're in town and want to lomograph some lions, giraffes, elephants or small kids, this is one of the best places to go.

one comment and 5 votesAVILON ZOO adopted the motto: Celebrating Life! to symbolize its philosophy. Life is precious and every living creature on Earth has a right to live --- freely and fully. We should learn from them and help in our own ways to protect and conserve the environment.

A Roaring Good Time at Zoobic Safari!

by eazy360

2 votesPerhaps the closest you can get to a tiger in the Philippines is at the Zoobic Safari--the one and only tiger safari in the country. It is located at Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales province, a former US naval base. When the Americans left in 1993, the Philippine Government converted the area into a Freeport Zone that has now become an industrial estate with an international airport, shopping malls, hotels, techno parks, recreational facilities and several eco-tourism attractions.

Beacon Hill Park, Victoria

2 votesThis always seems like a park made up of many little parks to me. Probably because I get a little turned around and occasionally lost every time I visit this little piece of west coast paradise. There are delicately manicured gardens, fountains, monuments, a petting zoo, and much more. The fresh coastal air and well kept grounds keep me coming back.

Donkey Sanctuary

by janette
posted about 1 year ago
one commentThe Sanctuary was established in 1987 to provide a safe, permanent home for any donkey in distress or otherwise in need of care and attention. I just love this place, apart from a lot of sad looking donkeys in some fields there's not much else to see, but the donkeys are so lovely and friendly - even though they look melancholic and depressed - and they just love to have their ears and backs scratched. They make this extraordinary "Hee-Haw" noise that guarantees to bring a smile on your face. When the donkeys are hungry they will try to eat anything, Lomo cameras included, if only they could reach them.

Parc de la Ciutadella

by vicuna

2 votesThe "Parc de la Ciutadella" in Barcelona is cool, green and quiet place in the centre of the city and not so far away from the beach. It's located near to the "Estacio de França" (see other location) and there are plenty of things to make there. You can visit a zoo, make a little boat tour on a little lake, visit the geological and zoological museum and admire the great building of the Parliament of Catalunya in the centre of the park. A very "family friendly" park with a lot of things to do for the kids, great green space to make picnics, play, sunbathe and sleep away from the noises of the city. The place was constructed as a park when used for the 1888 Universal Exhibition in Barcelona. You can spend a whole day in this park by visiting the 2 museums, have a little rest and time for taking pictures, and after that make a little visit to the zoo! :) Have a nice day!

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

posted about 1 year ago
1 voteNinoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife is an ecological sanctuary within the city. It has mini zoo, lagoon, amphitheater, fishing village and vast areas of greenery's. This is my personal favorite spot to take pictures. The relaxing atmosphere and the serene manmade lake are just the extras. It has an enormous park land area hence there are plenty of sceneries to choose from. Great place to go for picnic and test your new rolls of film and cameras nevertheless.

Ried Park Zoo

1 voteThis is not only a Zoo, but a park with several ponds, a dog park, little league baseball fields, Colorado Rockies practice field, golf course, tennis courts and public art centre (including public darkrooms). Yes folks this is the ultimate Lomographic location. You can go see the exotic animals in the zoo and later go to the ponds and feed the aquatic fowl. Pay a buck or two and take a little train ride around the park while your dog plays with more of its own species in the dog park. Pause for a chat with the old man with the metal detector searching for rare tokens and other precious metals. When you're done, head to the dark room to reveal what your camera thinks that you need to take home as memories. There is so much to do here that you can certainly revisit again and again.
