Main Street Station

2 comments and 3 votesRichmond is full of different architectural styles. Quite often you’ll find a historical building directly next to a brand new building, or in the case of Main Street Station you’ll notice that the highway has actually been built around the building! According to www.richmondgov.com, the building was originally built in 1901, and was for the next 74 years a “bustling transportation hub.” However, due to a decrease in passenger rail service, it was closed in 1975. The building remained closed for the next 28 years, and was re-opened in 2003 after years of renovation, and now has limited train service to downtown Richmond.

Old Ballarat Train Station

by kirri-joy

5 comments and 1 voteThe Ballarat Train Station is a two-minute walk from the city center in Ballarat. Despite that new fast trains have been installed, the structure of the station remains the same as it was in the 1860's. It is also the spot where I went to the first Ballarat Lomographer's meet up! That was a spectacular evening involving Holga's, tripods, light meters, the golden hour of light, and lengthy discussions about photography.

Métropolitain

by krusty1980
posted 11 months agoThe Métropolitain also called the "Métro" is the system of trains inside Paris. It is, I think one of the best way to move in Paris because like in all big cities the traffic of the cars is mad. There is 16 lines and around 300 stations.
