  Gare do Oriente it's probably the most important transport hub in Lisbon and it was designed by Santiago Calatrava, a spanish well-known architect.

  Last time I had a small Tour de Nuremberg with my bicycle and a friend of mine we discovered a place where we`ve never been before. „Where is that road leading to?“ asked my friend and as we both don`t know we decided to follow that unknown road.

  The zoo is one of the best places to see wild beasts and kids, as they both spend a lot of time there. So if you're in town and want to lomograph some lions, giraffes, elephants or small kids, this is one of the best places to go.

  Valle de los Ingenios, a large valley that was once one of the most productive agricultural areas in the whole country, home to dozens of the sugar refineries on which Trinidad built its wealth during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Today just one remains, althought the draw here is not the refinery itself but the buildings of one of the old colonial estates, located at Manaca-Iznaga. From here, the train continues on to a few more stops.

In Thailand's congested capital, the efficient transport backbone is the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Skytrain, which was opened to the public in 1999 and currently undergoing expansion. Modeled after Vancouver's, this elevated rail system runs through 23 stations along two lines- Silom and Sukhumvit-that tangentially interchange at Siam Station.

  While I write this story I am sitting in a regional Spanish train. He will take around two hours for a distance of around 200 kilometer from Valencia to Alicante. No comparison to the undisputed heavyweight champion of the rail-racing world: The Shinkansen.

  Carris is the Lisbon public transport company and together with the underground, is the main transport system in the city. This company with its 3 services - tram routes, funiculars and lifts and bus network, covers the whole city. Yes, you need a ticket, and the best thing to buy if you gonna stay a few days in Lisbon, is the ticket "7 colinas", you can buy the 5 days ticket that is valid for the Carris services and underground for five days consecutive unlimited times. You can buy it on the underground and Carris offices.
