What used to be the Carpenter Center for the Performing arts and the old Thalimer’s Department Store have been renovated and joined to create Central Virginia’s newest performing arts building, holding now four different venues of varying sizes.

1 voteThis is my absolute all-time favourite part of London. Go anytime of the year, anytime of day. During the day you can visit the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe theatre, wander down the Thames and see all the sights along the river (the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the National Theatre) and, my favourite of all, the big second hand book stall under a bridge, where you can find all sorts of bargains.

one comment« Het Oud Postkantoor », lies in the center of the city of Ostend on the Belgian Coast. It was a former administration office of the PTT (Post-Telefoon-Telegraaf). The building was left in 1999, due to huge cost, and the city of Ostend get it for free.
